History
The Port Macquarie Rifle Club was established as the Hastings Militia Rifle Club in 1888, making it the second oldest sporting body in the Hastings. In 1900 it was re-named the Hastings River Rifle Club and, in 1902, it moved to its current site. The land, about 270 acres, was originally owned by the Federal Government and passed to the State Lands Department in 1903, shortly after Federation.
Facilities
The current clubhouse was built in 1980.
Shooting Times
Currently the club shoots between 300yds and 900 yds each Saturday from 12pm to 5pm on the Kempsey Range, Crescent Head Road Kempsey.
